If Trees Could Talk with Susan Schaefer
Feb 10th, 2023
10:00 am–3:00 pm
Have you ever walked through a forest and looked at trees, really looked at them?
Have you imagined faces and eyes in the gnarly bark, patterns on the trunks and the sensuous lines of the branches?
In this workshop, we’ll explore the personality of our magnificent west coast forests.
Working with heavy-body acrylic paints, we will paint big and loose.
Susan will show you how to use heavy layers of paint, scratching and making marks, to reveal patterns in the bark.
She will encourage you to exaggerate the lines and rhythm of the branches.
Let your imagination go as the forest shows it’s personality, as “If Trees Could Talk.”
