Put words into original Printmaking that turns it into "message art". Words @TYPOGRAPHY is another form of Printmaking and this one day workshop will give you some tools to express yourself in both design with a message by enhancing with the wrtten word.
Forerunners like Corita Kent, Andy Warhol, David Hockney all created slogan art which changed the art world by introducing art with a word message. Many were focused on social justice and enlightening text. To this day, it is a common artform that many people hang on their walks to remind them to be present or to show gratitude.
You can learn to make your own.
The class includes the paper and the art materials for a large (18x24") wall print, as well as various small paper stock for greeting cards or personalized monograms etc.
The workshop will teach you how to mix inks, apply design and colour with Printmaking tools.
No press is needed for this method so you can continue to develop your skills outside of the classroom. (all materials are non-toxic and washable)
