Mixed Media for Kids with Brooke Emily

Ages 6-12 

In this art class, kids from 6-12 will discover the joys of mixed media art-making.

Mixed Media is free-flowing and exploratory. It encourages students to let go of rigidity, have fun with the supplies and follow their creative intuition. We will experiment with watercolours, inks, crayons, and pastels and see how these different materials interact with each other. Students will compose a variety of small work studies on cardstock and on the final day, they will take what they’ve learned and compose their final piece on canvas.

We will be getting messy so make sure to bring an apron or an old shirt, and a snack and water bottle for drinking.

Art supplies included, please bring a $10 materials fee for the instructor first day of class. 

Please note: Contemporaneous health guidelines will be in place. 

All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the workshop or class date, will receive a 100% credit.
