About
Born in New Zealand, Jonathan Rout lived in Australia before coming to British Columbia. He started a law degree before deciding he wanted a career in the arts. While studying at UBC, he designed and created jewellery sold at several businesses in Vancouver.
A job teaching drama, music, graphic arts, and photography brought Jonathan to Qualicum Beach, where he began his relationship with TOSH after retiring from teaching in 1997.
He continues to work in sterling silver producing traditional designs and more contemporary pieces.
