Intro to Oil Painting "A way of seeing" In this course you will be given the principles that oil painters have used for centuries to create realistic paintings of the natural world. Over 4 weeks we will go over painting techniques, values, composition, starting a painting, colour harmony, edges and transitions and finally how to finish a painting.
We will keep it solvent free by using walnut oil alkyd.
Come and meet new people and have fun learning a new skill! ALSO please wear clothing or an apron that you don’t mind getting a little bit of paint on it, and bring with you a few picture references on your phone, as everyone will be painting what they want, as long as it is from real life.
