Come and explore the traditional art of making Indigo Dyed Cloth, Shibori Techniques, and Boro and Sashiko Stitching.
This fascinating combination Textile Art Workshop occurs over 3 consecutive weekend classes and includes the Japanese textile art of making an Indigo vat, dyeing Shibori cloth, and learning Boro and Sashiko Stitch work.  Participants will each experience and  take away hands-on opportunities in the various techniques and gain knowledge and inspiration to create several textile art projects.

*All supplies and equipment are provided and included in the Workshop fee.
*Play clothes are recommended.
*Class size is limited to 10 seats only so early registration is recommended.
*Open to all levels and no previous experience required.
*Take-away task assignments are optional.

About Bonnie: 

Fibre/Textile Artist Bonnie Lefebre designs hand-knit knitwear and creates wearable art and accessories using botanical and natural hand-dyed wool and textiles.  

Her textile art includes eco print and naturally dyed botanical wool, silk and linen, hand-stitched cloth, and Bojagi-inspired linen designs.

"Fibre and textile arts have filled my life for as long as I can remember and my artistic techniques have been studied and learned from many skilled makers/artists. Experience and experimentation are integral components to my creative process and designs.  It is important to me to continue to share my knowledge and skills, and be a supportive advocate for the fibre and textile arts."

All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days, or more in advance of the workshop or class date will receive 100% credit. 6 days before class, and no credit will be issued.
