Gyotaku (Fish printing) is a unique process that originated as a documentation for fish identification that was used by fishermen (Japanese sumi ink on rice paper). Gyotaku is beautiful printed on fabric or a clothing item and can be printed in more than one colour. Fabric ink and paint are used in this process. Other ocean elements to add to this are seaweed and calligraphy drawn into the design.
Mary Leigh Campbell is an artist with over 37 years of experience. She specializes primarily in textile application though has trained in many other printmaking disciplines.
All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days, or more in advance of the workshop or class date will receive 100% credit. 6 days before class, and no credit will be issued.
