This is one-day workshop. On the first half of the day you will learn to make prints using a Gelli plate, acrylic paint, handmade stamps, stencils, and various mark making tools. You will be making your own collage paper.

Do you have handwritten letters or postcards? Bring them with you to make a beautiful keepsake.

On the second half of the day you will create a mixed media piece using your handmade collage paper as well as some new techniques with acrylic paint on a 12” x 12” wood panel.

You will fall in love with mixed media and all its potential!

Silvina will guide you step by step through her creative process so that at the end you will be able to take home a finished piece.

Silvina Lanusse is a mixed media creative originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina now living in Parksville. Her work is inspired by nature around her. Her painting begins the moment the first drop of colour falls on her substrate. It starts with a swirl, then another. Layers of pure colour dance in rhythm with textures. Her painting varies from colourful abstracts to whimsical stories. Organic strokes held together in a symphony of radiant paint bursting like her life tango.

All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days, or more in advance of the workshop or class date will receive 100% credit. 6 days before class, and no credit will be issued.
