Dive into the vibrant colors and rugged beauty of the West Coast in this intermediate-level acrylic painting course. Over four classes, students will create a full landscape painting inspired by rocky shorelines, turquoise waters, and dramatic skies—similar to the scene shown above.

This class focuses on building confidence and technique, including:
- Blocking in compositions with strong, simplified shapes
- Understanding tone (value) and how it affects the richness and vibrancy of color
- Layering acrylics to create depth and atmosphere
- Blending skies and water with smooth transitions
- Painting realistic rocks and coastal textures
- Adding trees and fine details for a polished finish
 - Using color temperature to create a sense of light, distance, and mood

It would be helpful for students to have had some previous painting experience and be comfortable with basic acrylic handling. However not required. Each session includes demonstrations, guided practice, and one-on-one support as you bring your coastal landscape to life.

By the end of the 4-week course, you’ll have a completed coastal painting rich with colour, depth, and Pacific Northwest character.
