Come join Deb Peters for a three hour exploration of acrylic paints (once a week for four weeks) and how to blend with ease. This is a course for those who want to loosen up their style of painting and do impressionistic style of landscapes. We will start with a basic landscape with a cottage/tree/or van by the sea. With simple defined strokes of the brush, we will be able to create a small to medium painting. Then you can bring your own pictures to create a loose, colourful painting of your choice.
Over the four weeks we will concentrate on colour blending, definition with values, balancing composition, and ‘tips and tricks’ with the ‘rules of painting’ in an impressionistic style. This style uses a loose brush stroke and colour in different ways. There will be lots of ‘why’s’ and ‘how’s and any questions/discussions you wish to have on this style of painting. It’s a chance to meet fellow artists and have fun while painting together!
Deb Peters is a local artist who has been painting most of her life and has become a more serious artist in the last ten years. She has explored styles and mediums with numerous master artists and has defined her style as a painter with colour and impressions of our local landscapes and wildlife. She brings joy and a story to her paintings.
This course is for the brave new painter and seasoned painters wishing to try something new!
