Buildings and bridges, cabins, fishing shacks, piers and pathways will add interest and a focal point to your compositions.
How to include structures that add a focal interest to your paintings. Whether it is just a suggestion of a roofline or a silhouette in the vista of a skyline, a familiar rail bridge or footbridge in the distance can help a viewer relate to your composition.

Supply List:

Paper; minimum of 1, 140lb. 22 X 30 piece of artist quality waterolour paper ( arches, winsor newton or fabriano etc. are all acceptable manufacturers)

Paint; -5 Basic colours - Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue, Pthalo Blue, Permanent Rose, Hansa yellow medium ( or any other medium transparent yellow)

*additional colours I like are Cobalt Blue, Burnt Umber, Cerulean Blue and Quinacridone series paints such as Gold, Burnt Orange, Burnt Scarlet, or Quinacridone Red. * note- These extra colours are not necessary - they're just nice.

Brushes - 1 wash brush
               - 1" flat - 1 round brush - a #6 or #7
               - 1 liner or rigger brush - anywhere from a #2 to a #4

Pallette; a fairly large surface for mixing washes - if you're using plastic lids bring several. It's good for a watercolour palette to have divisions so that your washes don't run into each other.

Miscellaneous - masking fluid, masking fluid eraser, pencil, sketch paper, soft eraser, masking tape, paper towel or rags - I will bring textural material.

All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the workshop or class date will receive 100% credit. 6 days before class and no credit will be issued.
