If you’ve ever been curious about the art of doll making then allow me to take you on a whimsical journey with your creative muse. In this day long class, I’ll introduce you to the enchanting art of creating a unique representation of a stylized human form.

This is a low pressure, no sew mixed media class where we allow our imaginations free reign to manifest an elemental being in the form of an art doll. I will guide you through each phase of bringing your original art doll to life from its foundation up to a decorative head of hair!

Art dolls are unique because they allow us the freedom to draw from a place within ourselves that craves expression. They are inspired, artistic representations that ignite the collaboration of both our imagination and our hearts.

Material Fee
I will provide you with a full kit of everything you need to design your art doll. When registering, please indicate your favourite colour for the purpose of personalizing your doll’s clothing.

The kit will contain everything you need to design and bring your art doll to life. This includes:
- natural wood skeletal foundation
- batting
- base fabric
- decorative textiles for outer dress
- trims and embellishments to adorn your creation with, including beads and wire
- threads
- glue
- the option for a fabric head or clay head

Bio
I am a textile collage artist and art doll designer. My artwork has been proudly featured several times in Stampington & Co.'s gorgeous print magazines, including Art Quilting Studio Magazine, Green Craft, Art Journaling and Somerset Studio. I have also been showcased on StitchesbyJulia, a popular YouTube host and textile artist, who dedicated an entire playlist to my collaged snippet rolls. I have been teaching and inspiring the creative spirits of others for over 15 years. I also design textile collages for other artists to use in their own works. The authenticity of my work is expressed most clearly amongst loose threads, unconventional colour combinations, raw edges and abstraction. Some of my creations can be found on instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/kitschychic
