This course is a two day workshop, March 6/7. We will to learn styles of creative backgrounds in order to enhance the nest/bird within an impressionistic painting. Using the background as a starting point, a nest will then be created; using brushes, palette knives, sticks from your garden. Then we will paint ‘objects we love’
within the nest and on the backgrounds, such as branches, birds, eggs or feathers painted or pasted on. This is a very loose way to develop a nest with an impressionistic way to install a bird of your liking, from ravens to wrens, all birds are welcome!

BRING small feathers, sticks, photos or real nests to inspire you!
Come join our community and celebrate the beginning of spring! There will be lots of "why's" and "how's" and any questions/discussions you wish to have on this style of painting. It’s a chance to meet fellow artists and have fun while painting together!
This course is for all: brave new painters, those learning to experiment and seasoned painters wishing to try something new!

Bio
I am a local artist who has been painting most of my life and have become a more serious artist in the last twelve years. I like to explored styles and mediums with numerous master artists which has defined my style as a painter with colour and impressions of our local landscapes and wildlife. I wish to bring joy and a story to my paintings.
All classes and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made 7 days, or more in advance of the workshop or class date will receive 100% credit. 6 days before class, and no credit will be issued.
