Dust off your sewing machine and indulge your tactile senses as you play with textiles to create whimsical collages in this day long class. You will learn to compose small works of art using fabric, lace, trim, embellishments and anything else your inner artist finds fascinating. Then, I will show you how to use your sewing machine as an artistic tool to doodle with. You don't need to know how to sew for this class. In fact, it's better if you don't. If you are someone who doesn't believe you can draw, then this is the perfect class for you! Bring your imagination and curiosity and be ready to stretch your creativity! You will leave this day with a couple of delightful works of finished artwork and the inspiration for many more!

Bio
I am a textile collage artist and art doll designer. My artwork has been proudly featured several times in Stampington & Co.'s gorgeous print magazines, including Art Quilting Studio Magazine, Green Craft, Art Journaling and Somerset Studio. I have also been showcased on StitchesbyJulia, a popular YouTube host and textile artist, who dedicated an entire playlist to my collaged snippet rolls. I have been teaching and inspiring the creative spirits of others for over 15 years. I also design textile collages for other artists to use in their own works. The authenticity of my work is expressed most clearly amongst loose threads, unconventional colour combinations, raw edges and abstraction. Some of my creations can be found on instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/kitschychic
