Come join me with fellow artists to explore how a simple brushstroke can enhance your painting for mood and expressions. This is a loose, impressionistic style of painting that allows for freedom to blend in colours quickly and leave beautiful brushstrokes for drama. We will start with how to load a brush and leave an impression on the canvas for skies, water and landscapes. We will make it interesting by adding objects such as trees, canoes, lighthouses, clotheslines or anything you wish to tell a story in your painting! This can be done with lush paint and a swirl of the brush.
The story is yours and we will learn tips and tricks to bring it to life. We will have discussions on rules and why to use them and when to break them. Painting is an expression of ourselves. We will explore the freedom to illustrate feelings through brushes and paint. A stormy sky, a moonlit ocean, majestic trees, all things are possible with colour, brushstroke and a little planning. I look forward to 'playing' with paint in our community of artists. Whether you are beginner painter or experienced, trying something new is always exciting!
