Iris Gellrich‘s motto became ‘get your hands dirty’ after falling in love with transforming lumps of clay into useful and decorative objects. 

Iris took her first pottery class in 2009 and since retiring has taken numerous classes in hand-building, wheel-throwing and has participated in soda & salt firings and raku firings.  Iris has studied with knowledgeable teachers in Burnaby, Whistler and Squamish. 

Whenever Iris works with clay she unleashes her inner child – to play, to assemble and modify pieces and to create something unique. Her colourful pieces reflect this joyful approach.
